About Amanda

Amanda Neatrour

Amanda Neatrour is a Sheraden resident, small business owner, caregiver, and mom. She received her Masters and Bachelors of Music from Howard University and an MBA from Robert Morris University, including a certificate in Project Management. She currently owns Lewis Neatrour Group, helping organizations and leaders with coaching, visioning and strategic planning, and policy development.

Amanda is a member of the Coraopolis Chapter of the NAACP, the African American Chamber of Commerce and the Three Rivers Business Alliance. She is also a 200 Hour Raja Yoga teacher, an opera singer, and was named both Mrs. Pittsburgh America and Mrs. Pennsylvania American 2024. In 2019 Amanda was named one of Pittsburgh’s 40 Under 40, and New Pittsburgh Courier Woman of Excellence, and in 2021 was honored as an Athena Award Finalist. She lives with her husband Russell, two young children, and rescue dog in Sheraden.

Amanda has taken on numerous advocacy roles, including as Chair of the Aging Subcommittee of a state commission where she advocates on behalf of women and older Pennsylvanians. She is a member of the FISA Foundation Race and Disability Advisory Committee, and  the Level UP Pay Equity Steering Committee. She has previously volunteered on the FISA Foundation Grant review committee, was Chair of Pittsburgh’s Gender Equity Commission, and was a member of the board of the Young Preservationists Association of Pittsburgh. She worked in workforce development and leadership development as Pittsburgh’s Diversity and Inclusion Employment Coordinator, and as the Director of the Women’s Leadership and Mentorship Program and Director for the Center for Equity and Professional Advancement at RMU.

Amanda is running to fight for District 2 on City Council to address the problems that she sees every day. Fighting against homelessness and predatory housing practices. Fighting for small business development and the revitalization of our neighborhood main streets. Safer streets, quality child care, and centers for youth development. She is fighting for better senior housing and access to services. Amanda is running to fight for the future District 2 deserves.
